Day 1: Cusco – Taray Viewpoint – Pisac – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Chinchero – Cusco

Highlight of the Day: Visit Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero while exploring the archaeological, cultural, and historical highlights of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Your Sacred Valley Tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco at approximately 7:30 AM. We then travel toward the Sacred Valley, making our first stop at an Andean camelid center where you can observe alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Afterwards, we continue to the Taray Viewpoint for panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, the Urubamba River, and the surrounding agricultural terraces.

The tour continues to the archaeological site of Pisac, one of the most important Inca settlements in the Sacred Valley. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore agricultural terraces, temples, ceremonial sectors, and residential areas while learning about the history and significance of the site. After the guided visit, there will be time to browse the traditional Pisac Market, where local artisans sell textiles, handicrafts, jewelry, and regional products.

From Pisac, we continue through the valley to the town of Urubamba, where a buffet lunch is served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we visit Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca towns in Peru. Here, you will explore the fortress, stone terraces, ceremonial sectors, and the Temple of the Sun while learning about its importance during the Inca Empire.

Our final stop is Chinchero, a traditional Andean village known for its textile heritage, colonial church, and Inca remains. During the visit, you will learn about traditional weaving techniques and natural dyes that continue to be used by local families.

After visiting Chinchero, we return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 PM, where the tour concludes.
